Mexico Clinics
We believe that wind power is a cost effective means of generating electricity in rural areas. Northern Mexico is a prime arena to exhibit this potential. Through education and motivation, we hope to help establish wind power as a local industry in Mexico.

Northern Mexico is well suited for wind power and other alternative energy sources. Because of the terrain and long distances, grid power is not a viable option for many of the citizens in this area. The Mexican Government has initiated programs to provide and subsidize small solar energy systems for rural areas. These systems are limited in capability, but they are the essential first step towards self-sustainability.

Wind energy is the natural progression for small-scale energy production. The State of Coahila, Mexico is covered with mountains, plains, and other attractve features for wind operations.

Our goal is to provide information and education in areas as a sort of "seed planting" mechanism. We hope to provide the necessary tools and knowledge to jump-start the Mexican Wind Power movement.

So far, we have been met with outstanding enthusiasm. The simplicity and cost are the driving factors. Many people in these areas do not travel to a town or large community for several weeks at a time. Self-repair and low-maintenance options are essential.

We have thus far provided information to 2 areas of Coahila. The first, Boquillas, Mexico, was a coordinated effort suported by the US citizens in the Big Bend Region of Texas. The second area, Melon, was a small cafe in the vast mountain valley of La Encantada in Northern Mexico. In both areas, we have provided working models, classes and clinics on construction, general energy information and access to information, parts, and resources that were not previously available.
