The house itself is currently a 16 ft by 24 ft kitchen and living room. There is a loft bedroom, and a bathroom ready to finish out. The roof extends well beyond this room. The layout calls for a master bedroom and bath 16 by 24 with a porch between the two rooms. The master bedroom has not been built, but the roof is ready and the layout can be modified to meet anyones needs. We have also layed out another house, 1500 square feet for the master quarters. The power and water systems have been designed to incorporate both homes, with a total living are well over 3,000 square feet, not including porches and patios. Under power, we have a fully operational system that can run the house and a small shop with ease. The power system is modular, and can be added to easily. The water system includes rain catchment from 1,500 square feet of roof, and an annual catch capability of about 10,000 gallons. For storage, we currently have a 1,750 gallon tank, and more can be added easily. There is plumbing to the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, and cast iron bathtub. All greywater is routed through irrigation for the garden. Food Systems
We have a 1/4 acre summer garden with a living fence, and a 10 ft by 30 ft year-round "inside" garden with a fully integrated greywater system. We do have chickens that could go with the property as well. They are free-range and require little attention. Waste System
For our waste system, we have a composting toilet for human waste, as well a rotating bin system for kitchen, animal, and any organic waste. All greywater is routed through irrigation for the garden.
