At 16:20 pm on April 11, 2008, Leonardo Lavagia Connally joined his delighted parents.

Leo weighed 7.3 lbs/3.32 kg and measured 18.8 inches/43 cms.  His eyes are dark blue at the moment, and he has dark brown hair.

Although the pregnancy was remarkably easy and problem free, Leo never turned. He was in full breech position, with his  knees bent and his head up high, and was finally delivered via C-Section. Everything went well, though Abe was not allowed into the operating room, which was very hard on us both.

I was given Leo as soon as I was transferred to the recuperation room, whereby he instantly started to nurse for pretty much the whole two hours that I had to spend there. The epidural wore off fast and my vitals were great, so we were then returned to dad's arms!!

We are tired, but extremely happy with this wonderful baby. He is alert, happy, calm and very tactile. He is making these transitional days as easy as he can for us, giving me time to recover from surgery and Abe time to do everything else there is to do!!!!

We are very excited about this new stage of our life and will be posting progress on this page for anyone wanting to share in it with us.
